Hello Everyone! Welcome, welcome, welcome to the big blue house! Or, well, my blog.
If you came from my Instagram page, then you’ve probably noticed I’ve made a pretty big change. For the last four years I’ve been sharing my makeup art with the Interwebs but, I’ve decided to take a leap of faith and pivot to sharing my artwork with all of you while enjoying makeup in my daily life!
Now you’re thinking: “Kailey, if we’re not going to see any more colorful, sparkly lips here, what are we in for?”
Well, I’m beyond happy to say you’re still in for as much color and glitter as I can possibly put into a page because, why would that change? You’re also in for a deep dive into a few of my favorite things ever in the history of life. Those things are, drum roll please, CREATURES and MAGIC!
Creatures
Since I was little I’ve love, love, loved animals! Not just your wonderful furry pets, but everything from the biggest scariest predators to the tiniest of buggos. The creatures in this world are the magic that lives right in front of us every day. With everything from the adaptations to their environment, the way they work together to build and survive and their unique beauty; they’re beyond what my wildest dreams could imagine. Learning about them and building relationships with them is probably the deepest root of my artistic inspiration. Especially my babies: Chico, Carl and Timmy!
Magic
On the other hand, if you know me, then you have probably noticed I’m a bit of a bookworm. For me, books are a gateway into different worlds and adventures. Some of my very favorites are Harry Potter, Game of Thrones, and Caraval. Are you seeing the common denominator? It’s MAGIC! I’ve been head over heels for magic since I was a little girl reading Harry Potter upside down on the monkey bars (I’m a bat.) I think what I’m so in love with are the endless possibilities and if we’re being honest, the magical creatures! My dream job is clearly Magizoologist. I really want Newt’s briefcase too. You think he’d make me one?
